NARCISO STORY

Roberta Bruzzone presents the new original series La Casa Rossa: “Narciso Story”. A journey into the minds of the perpetrators of the crimes that have marked Italian history, re-examined through the lens of narcissism… at a time when narcissism did not yet have a name.

An account of the most talked-about murders in 20th-century Italian history, an era in which pathological narcissism had not yet been adequately studied or defined from a criminological perspective.

To explain the criminals’ personalities, the media of the time resorted to nicknames destined to enter the collective imagination: “Circe”, “the Monster”, “the Hunter”, “Lady…”. Labels that helped transform them into dark, almost superhuman myths.

Narciso Story, on the other hand, offers a different perspective on those crimes, analysing them through a contemporary psychological and scientific lens.
